Consecrated Weakness
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV)
Most new devices require some sort of adapter to connect to electric sockets. I recharge my phone by plugging it into a USB cord that is attached to a wall charger. Without these intermediary connectors, my phone could not function for very long. I have a dedicated spot in my home to recharge my phone. I also routinely set apart time for this purpose.
God’s grace is sufficient to meet all our needs. His power is made perfect in weakness. Yet, there must be a connection between this weakness and God’s power. We must entrust our inabilities to Jesus. Trust is the adapter that allows us to access His omnipotence. By consecrating our weaknesses, we plug in to God’s supernatural strength. We have to set apart time and space to connect with the Lord. Then we will be fully charged by the power of the Holy Spirit.
